Your wardrobe, finally yours.
Personal styling in Chicago and virtually — for women who are ready to dress for themselves.
Some women have a wardrobe that feels like them. The rest of us have to build it on purpose.
The women I work with are not lacking taste. They are not confused about who they are. They are women in their 50s, 60s and beyond who have spent decades dressing for other people’s expectations — for careers, for occasions, for what was appropriate — and who are now ready, finally, to dress for themselves.
My work is the practical part — the doing, not the theorizing. To go through what you have with honest eyes. To build a wardrobe that reflects you — your life as it is now, your style as you actually want it, your body as it actually is. And for clients in Chicago, to source the beautiful things that exist in this city’s estate sales, vintage shops, and consignment circuit if you know where to look.
Every service begins with a complimentary 20 minute discovery call. No obligation. No sales pressure. Just a conversation to make sure we’re the right fit before anything is booked.
“You have earned the right to stop caring what other people think of what you wear.”
How I Can Help
Five ways to work together
Completed the Refine Your Style course? You've already done the identity work, so every session below is offered at a reduced course rate. Just show your course confirmation when booking.
1. The wardrobe edit
IN PERSON • CHICAGO AREA
Find out what’s actually yours.
We go through your wardrobe together — every piece, one honest question: does this reflect the woman you are now? Nothing is judged. Everything is considered. You leave with a wardrobe that makes sense, a clear picture of what you have and what you genuinely need, and a release pile you feel good about letting go. Not because it no longer sparks joy — because it no longer belongs to you.
This is not a reckoning. The money is already spent — on the things you wear and the things you don't. What we're doing here is forward-facing: clearing space, not settling accounts. People expect the edit to feel like an audit. It usually feels more like opening windows — a little giddy, a little freeing, occasionally hilarious when we find what you've been keeping, and why.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Full wardrobe edit session at your home (3–4 hours)
The three-pile method — keep, release, rediscover
Gap analysis — what’s missing, what’s duplicated, what’s quietly holding everything back
Written wardrobe summary and recommended next steps delivered within 48 hours
Guidance on where to take your release pile — consignment, charity, swaps
30-minute follow-up call within two weeks
$275 — full session, 3–4 hours
$195 — partial edit, 2 hours (one section, or a first session)
Course owners: $235 / $170
Travel within 20 miles of Chicago included;a small per-mile charge applies beyond 20 miles.
2. Capsule wardrobe build
IN PERSON OR VIRTUAL • CHICAGO AREA AND WORLDWIDE
Less, but exactly right.
Built on your style identity, your life as it actually is, and your edited wardrobe. Not a generic formula applied to everyone — a specific, considered plan for the 25 to 33 pieces that will make up your working wardrobe. Every item chosen because you love it and it serves your life. Nothing included because it’s supposed to be there.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Style identity session (1 hour) — in person at your home or via Zoom
Capsule plan document — your specific pieces, described and reasoned
Color and fabric palette tailored to your skin tone, hair, and lifestyle
Gap list — what to look for, what can wait, and where to find it
Squarespace client portal access with your capsule plan for easy reference
30-minute check-in call 4 weeks later
$195 — capsule plan, virtual or in person
$150 — virtual only (Zoom session + digital plan)
$425 — wardrobe edit + capsule build combined (the recommended starting point)
Course owners: $160 / $125 / $365
The edit and capsule combined session is the most common starting point for new clients. It takes a full day and covers everything from clearing out to planning forward.
3. The connoisseur shop
IN PERSON • CHICAGO AREA • SECOND BLOOM SIGNATURE SERVICE
Found, not shopped. The best of Chicago's estate sales, vintage, and consignment.
This is not a shopping trip. This is sourcing. I know Chicago’s estate sales, vintage shops, and consignment circuit the way a jeweler knows gem shows — where to go, what to look for, and how to find the extraordinary piece among the ordinary ones. Most of the best finds are gone within hours of appearing. Knowing where to be, and when, is the skill. You tell me what you need. I do the hunting. Or you come with me and I show you how.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Pre-shop consultation to understand your brief, your capsule gaps, and your preferences
Quality assessment on every piece considered — fabric, construction, fit potential
Photographs sent with context, notes, and honest assessment (sourcing on your behalf)
Styling notes on how each piece works with what you already own
Price negotiation where appropriate
Tailor referral for any pieces that need alteration to fit perfectly
$125: sourcing on your behalf — half day
$195: sourcing on your behalf — full day
$150: shop together — 3 hours, you come with me
The sourcing fee covers my time, my eye, and the relationships I've built with estate sale companies, shop owners, and dealers across Chicago. It's entirely separate from what you spend on the pieces themselves — there's no mark-up, no commission. My only interest is finding you the best quality at the fairest price.
Wardrobe sourcing is priced by the session, not the piece, because a single trip often turns up several of your capsule gaps at once. For one-off finds beyond your wardrobe — a painting, a gift, something for your home — see [gift & home sourcing].
4. Outfit building
IN PERSON OR VIRTUAL • CHICAGO AREA AND WORLDWIDE
You already own more than you think.
This session takes what’s in your wardrobe and builds outfits you hadn’t seen before — combinations that work, that feel right, that make getting dressed simpler and more pleasurable every morning. No new purchases required. Just a fresh pair of eyes on what you already have, and a lookbook so you don’t have to remember.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
2 -hour session in your home or via Zoom with you in front of your wardrobe
8–12 complete outfits built from your existing pieces
Photographed lookbook — each outfit documented so you can reference it any morning
Notes on which pieces are doing the most work and which are holding everything back
Short gap list if one or two additions would unlock several new combinations
Lookbook delivered as a PDF
$175 — in person, Chicago area
$125 — virtual, Zoom session + digital lookbook
Course owners: $150 / $105
Virtual outfit building works well if you’re comfortable holding pieces up to the camera and have good natural light in your space. We’ll work through your wardrobe section by section together.
If you have completed the Second Bloom Styling course, you have already done the identity work. Our sessions build directly on that foundation — and we price accordingly. Show your course confirmation when booking to receive your discounted course rate.

Simple from the first message.
Step 1: Get in Touch
Using the contact form, tell me a little about where you are, what you’re looking for, and which service interests you. I’ll come back to you within two working days.
Step 2: Discovery Call
A complimentary 20-minute call by phone or Zoom. We talk about what you’re hoping for, I explain what the session involves, and we both make sure it’s the right fit. No pressure. No obligation. If it’s not the right moment, the call costs nothing and you leave with a better sense of what you’re working toward.
Step 3: We Book
If we’re both happy to proceed, I’ll send a booking link, a short intake form (so I come prepared), and a confirmation with everything you need to know. In-person sessions are available Tuesday through Saturday in the Chicago area. Virtual sessions are available by arrangement.
Step 4: The Session
I arrive prepared, we work at a pace that feels right for you, and nothing is rushed. Every session ends with a clear sense of what comes next — written notes, a lookbook, a capsule plan, or a sourcing brief, depending on what we’ve done together.
-
Not at all. Services and the course are completely independent. Many clients come to the services without having touched the course, and many course students come back for a session later. Each one stands on its own.
-
Certainly. The capsule wardrobe build, outfit building session, and all virtual services are available to clients anywhere. The wardrobe edit and the connoisseur shop require in-person presence in the Chicago area.
-
Nothing. Please do not tidy, organise, or pre-edit your wardrobe before I arrive. I need to see it as it actually is — the chaos is information. The only thing to do is make sure everything is accessible and there’s room to work.
-
I maintain relationships with estate sale companies, vintage dealers, and consignment shop owners across Chicago, and I monitor upcoming sales and new arrivals regularly. Before a sourcing session, we have a brief consultation so I understand exactly what you’re looking for. I then go to the sales and shops on your brief, assess everything against your capsule plan and quality standards, and send you photographs with my notes. You decide what you want, and I’ll arrange collection or purchase on your behalf. You pay for items directly — I never handle your money.
-
Book the discovery call. That’s exactly what it’s for. We’ll talk through where you are and I’ll tell you honestly what I think would help most.
-
Sessions cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice are rescheduled at no charge. Cancellations within 48 hours of the session forfeit 50% of the session fee. I apply the same policy to myself — if I ever need to reschedule, I’ll give you as much notice as possible and offer a priority rebooking.
A few things people ask.
Ready to begin?
The discovery call is free, takes 20 minutes, and commits you to nothing. It’s just a conversation — about where you are, what you’re hoping for, and whether working together makes sense.
If it does, we’ll take it from there. If it doesn’t, you’ll leave with a clearer sense of what you’re working toward. Either way, it’s worth the call.
